Battery Powered Leaf Blowers Features and Specifications

When considering cordless leaf blower or cordless leaf blower/vacuum unit, there are few things to pay attention:

Air Volume is usually given in Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) or Cubic Meters per minute/hour and is the value of the air that battery operated leaf blower can move in certain elapsed time.

Depending on the size of the leaf blower, fan design, nozzle type, control settings etc. cordless leaf blowers on average feature air volume in the 250 - 500 CFM range. The higher the CFM, the more air is pushed by the unit, enabling the user to collect more debris. However, in order to collect/clean debris, air speed is also very important.

Fan Type: Fan, turbine or impeller design dictate the shape of the leaf blower and its performances. Most two common fan/turbine types are centrifugal and axial fan.

Leaf blowers with centrifugal fans have intake on the sides or on the bottom of the unit and usually feature medium air volume and medium to high air speeds.

Leaf blowers with axial fans usually have air intake at the back of the unit with 'straight-through' air flow. They usually feature high air volume at low to medium air speeds.
