How to Juice Cranberries

Cranberries are not the kind of fruit that produces a lot of juice when being juiced with the usual methods.

However, if You have a strong cold-press masticating juicer, it will produce an acceptable amount of cranberry juice, while the solids can be used for pies, jams, and similar processed foods.

However, if You have a blender, put 2 cups of cold water and 3-4 cups of cranberries in the blender, blend on low to medium speed until the liquid in the blender is smooth and thick, without larger chunks - it takes usually 2-3 minutes for the cranberries to blend well.

Then, put the blended cranberries in the fridge overnight to steep.

In the morning, strain the juice through a very fine mesh strainer while using some force to remove all the juice from the solids, which can be used to make other foods, like sauces, pies, jams, etc.

Mix Cranberry Juice With the Grape Juice

Grapes are, on the other hand, very easy to juice - use any type of juicer that will remove all the solids from juicy and tender grapes.

Now that you have both cranberry and grape juice, mix them in a 1:2 to 1:5 ratio, and if needed, add some water.

Also, a few drops of lemon or lime can improve the aroma even more - serve cold, with some ice and a lemon/lime wedge.

Note: some people prefer cranberry grape juice to be served at room temperature.

Since cranberries have a very specific aroma and taste, to say the least, feel free to either add more grape juice or dilute the juice with some water.

Grape juice has plenty of naturally occurring sugars/simple carbs, and adding sugar to sweeten the juice is not recommended - if You must, use stevia or some similar natural sweetener.

Note: the actual color of the juice depends on the grapes' color and can vary significantly.
