The recipe is simple and straightforward - put raspberries in the blender, add a scoop of casein protein powder, and add water.

My favorite casein protein supplement is the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Casein (Amazon link, link opens in the new window), which requires little bit more water than typical protein powders.

If you never used it, it is perhaps better to add less water and if required, add it more later - if your blender tolerates ice cubes and you want to make healthy ice cream, add few ice cubes as well.

Creamy Vanilla flavor is my favorite flavor for making fruit smoothies - personally, I prefer chocolate flavors, but with fruits Creamy Vanilla tastes great.

Blend everything thoroughly and pour the content into a suitable glass.

Who said that I have to give up chocolate? Feel free to add some dark chocolate chips to the protein smoothie - find the ones with no added sugar and enjoy the taste and benefits of the dark chocolate.

Note: just half an ounce of dark chocolate is enough, so don't overdo it...

This is a very satiating protein smoothie, suitable for breakfasts, daily snacks, even full meals, and as a bedtime protein smoothie.

To make it more palatable over time, try varying casein protein supplement flavors and add from time to time some peanut butter, ground walnuts, almonds, etc. Only the sky is the limit as long as you keep an eye on the macronutrients.
